I read "The Fountainhead" in high school. Then during the 1980's was Chair Pro Temp of the Shasta County Libertarian Party. Freedom has always been important to me. Wikipedia has a list of Freedom Indices.
I took seven of these indices and collated my own list of the 10 freest countries. Here's my list:
1.Switzerland
2.Netherlands
3.Canada
4.New Zealand
5.Finland
6.Australia
7.Hong Kong
8.Norway
9.Sweden
10.Denmark
If you are interested in the indices and their top 10 lists as well as my notes here are my notes https://docs.google.com/…/1ZyOmhDAitohWRLP5sNclshHS7R…/edit…

Intentional Communities is Southern California

As a child of the 60's I have been looking at local organizations that interest me for an informational interview or Internship/Volunteer opportunity. Here is a list of Intentional Communities (Communes) in Southern California that look interesting:

Citizen Diplomacy

This is a neat book. The only reason to buy it would be to get a sample letter to send to Consulates. Basically you just write countries and ask them if you can be of any service to them...

Maybe show tourists around that come into your town... Covers similar material to 'How To Become An Honorary Consul General' by Dr. W.G. Hill... Could also be used on UNPO nations.

Kay said I might even be able to do cultural programs for local consulates here in Southern California. So, I made a list of all the countries with PPP <$1000 per month. I figure if citizens of that country can live on that amount I probably could also. Then I added the address of any Sothern California Consulate. I also added a couple citizen diplomacy organizations. Here is the link.
